A day in the life…

• Keep the customer experience quick, easy and fun while helping customers with questions about merchandise and the sports of paintball and airsoft
• Greet every customer that comes into the store
• Keep the stockrooms organized and complete all inventory processes, making sure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
• Work with the team to ensure the sale’s floor stays clean through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day

Giant Sports has served servicing the paintball community for over 30 years.

We are looking for part-time Team Members to join our team as cashiers in a family friendly, exciting, and fast paced environment. We are looking for individuals with exceptional customer service skills, who are able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Cashiers will:

• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintaining good customer relationships
• Find out the customer's needs
• Recommend, select, and help locate the right merchandise
• Describe a product's features and benefits
• Demonstrate use and operational of the product's
• Answer customer queries regarding the store and the merchandise
• Verifying that customers are old enough to make age-restricted purchases.
• Selling store rewards programs such as memberships
• Using scanners and POS cash registers to ring up purchases and provide change
• Make suggestions and encourage purchase of products
• Provide information about the park and services available
• Receive and process cash, check and charge/credit payments
• Provide change and receipts
• Bag or package customer POS purchases
• Counting the money in the register at the beginning and end of a shift, and ensuring that it balances correctly (2 people)
• Promoting ongoing sales, and ensuring that customers are familiar with exchange policies
• Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property
• Maintain sales records
• Organize and process merchandise exchanges
• Stamp, mark or tag price on merchandise
• Itemize and total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill using POS
• Stay current with sales prices
• Recognize and monitor security issues
• Immediately report theft, customer complaints
• Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, counters or tables with merchandise
• Set up advertising display or arrange merchandise on counters or tables to attract customers and promote sales
• Keep merchandise area tidy
• Assist in taking stock inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be recorded or replenished
• Assisting in submitting requisition of new stock
• Comply with the Employee Manual and other established standards, policies, and directives of SC Village, Hollywood Sports Park, California Paintball Park and Giant Paintball Lakeside.
• Other duties as may assigned by immediate supervisor, store supervisors, assistant store supervisor, and/or administrator

Pay Rate

• Pay Rate is $10.00 per hour 
• Discounted entry for the employee (after introductory period)
• Discounted entry for family (after introductory period)
• Discounts on merchandise (after introductory period)

Potential candidates should enjoy working with a team focused on delivering an exceptional customer service experience. In addition to:

• Have a positive and cheerful attitude that will enable you to achieve the highest level of customer service.
• excellent communication skills.
• Work well in a fast-paced, busy environment, and stay calm under pressure.
• Must be able to stand, sit, reach, grasp, squat, bend, run for extended periods of time; must be able to lift 25 lbs. daily.
• Must be okay working in an outdoor environment
• Must be able to use walkie-talkie radios and whistles.
• Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays (Saturday &/or Sunday).
• Be computer proficient.
• Must be willing to cross train between different positions (i.e., Roles may include Referee & Equipment Rental Clerk)
• Paintball and/or Airsoft experience preferred but not required.

SC Village is a perfect part-time weekend job for college students or those looking for a second weekend only job!
